Mandate agreemet and avoidance of conflicts of interest
The mandate agreement and the rights and obligations arising from it are subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The non-exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes arising in connection with the mandate agreement or concerning its validity is Hamburg.
Under its professional rules, German attorneys may not represent conflicting interests (§ 43a par. 4 BRAO). Hence, before accepting a new mandate, a conflict check is always conducted.
